Help Desk Representative

Summary: Provides technical, software, hardware, and network solutions to all computer users by performing question/problem diagnosis, and guides users through step-by-step solutions in a call center environment by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Responds to and logs into Millin Central requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
2. Diagnoses and resolves basic technical hardware and software issues.
3. Redirects unanswered problems to appropriate resource.
4. Identifies and escalates situations requiring urgent attention.
5. Tracks and routes problems and requests, and documents resolutions.
6. Stays current with system information, changes, and updates.
7. Prepares, reviews, maintains and sends knowledge management documents or manuals. Documents internal procedures as requested.
8. Provides assistance to implementation department with software configuration, remit enrollment, claims submission enrollment, clearinghouse enrollment and insurance portal setups.
9. Communicates with third party vendors to resolve issues or implement new workflows.
10. Participates in implementation internal meetings and client conference calls.
11. Participates in educational activities and attends staff meetings.
12. Conducts self in accordance with HIPAA’s employee manual
13. Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

Healthcare Analyst

Summary: The Analyst acts as the primary liaison between IT and the operational departments within the organization. This position functions in a trusted advisor role. This position will primarily support the Claims functional area of the organization with a strong focus on Healthcare EDI data sets. This includes submissions to the NYS Medicaid, Managed Care, and CMS for Medicare claims.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Testing, including the creation of test scenarios, test data and understanding of outcomes
2. Responsibilities include but are not limited to knowledge of claims editing and adjudication, product regulations and encounter transactions / submission/ recovery.
3. Keeps current with industry trends and state/federal compliance initiatives
4. Supports clients and coworkers
5. Communicates internally and externally with all levels of employees including senior management
6. Identifies issues and facilitates problem resolution
7. Serves as technical and subject matter expert for claims data and claim processing life cycle
8. Analyzes and queries data; has knowledge of the EDI files.
9. Data mapping, including the creation of file specifications, production, and test EDI files.
10. Research new programs and billing rules and communicates his finding to the development team.
11. Testing, including the creation of test scenarios, test data and understanding of outcomes. Provides in-depth analysis to resolve any potential issues prior to new updates being pushed to production.
12. Manages the technical efforts associated with implementing complex EDI trading partners.
13. Participates in implementation meetings with clients and vendors when necessary.
14. Provide HIPAA-compliant guidance and billing guidance to trading partners requesting additional information about industry standards and requirements.
15. Performs routine and ad hoc analysis of various facets of EDI processing including but not limited to system performance, claim turnaround times, data mapping, and claim volumes.
16. Builds and maintains positive working relationships with internal colleagues (including IT, Sales and Marketing, Implementation, Operations and Billing) and external contacts.
17. Attends onsite and offsite meetings with clients, payer representatives or state agencies.
18. Provides coverage for other team members as needed; some on-call support duties may be required. Performs demos when necessary.
19. Assists with hiring and training of new employees. Prepares and conducts internal training as well as client trainings via Go To Meeting or remotely.
20. Communicates potential solutions to management. Implements solutions.
21. Implements process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the EDI processes.
22. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills:
– Minimum 2-3 years previous experience as an Analyst
– Health Care Industry experience
– Strong data analytics skills
– Previous experience and business knowledge with health care claims adjudication systems, including the end-to-end life cycle of a claim, EDI 837 and 835  transactions
– Knowledge of Claims Billing (procedure codes, modifiers, diagnoses) a plus
– Knowledge of health care benefits and product offerings including NY State of Health exchange plans, Medicaid, Medicare, Dual, Child Health Plus and Managed Long Term Care programs a plus

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher.

Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office particularly Excel as well as EDI files (835, 837, 277, 277CA, 999, etc.).

Billing Analyst

Summary: To perform general billing and systems administration responsibilities as assigned. Responsible for the sending of and response to claims. Conducts follow up with payers to resolve open and/or denied claims by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Prepares and submits clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper.
2. Verifies eligibility for patients claims.
3. Manually enters data into MillinPro+.
4. Works directly with insurance company and healthcare provider to get the claims paid.
5. Posts remits electronically and manually from Emdeon, CSC, Payspan or eBridges or any additional website/portal/clearinghouse.
6. Maintains and addresses follow up items on client issue trackers.
7. Creates and maintains a weekly report on billing for clients.
8. Performs claims follow up tasks including online research as well as phone calls to payers to resolve billing issues.
9. Performs rebilling and crossover tasks to assure payment of all open claims.
10. Reviews and appeals unpaid and denied clams.
11. Manages the facility’s Accounts Receivable reports.
12. Maintains professional communication by phone or emails with clients. Joins client conference calls.
13. Conducts self in accordance with HIPAA’s employee manual.
14. Maintains strictest confidentiality, adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

Implementation Specialist

Summary: Provides oversight and management of all activities related to new client implementations, assist the Director of Implementation and Implementation Manager with the monitoring of daily activities related to current client implementation, and strategic planning for improvement of operations. Responsible for all set ups and deployment of MillinPro+ databases.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Responsible for complete configuration of new MillinPro+ databases for in-house and standalone clients.
2. Responsible for maintaining existing MillinPro+ databases and configuration when necessary.
3. Responsible for remit and/or claim submission enrollment, clearinghouse setups and insurance portal setups for new and existing clients.
4. Communicates with third party vendors to resolve issues or implement new workflows.
5. Handles database review and data testing.
6. Documents internal procedures as requested.
7. Maintains ETIN information in Millin Central and assists clients with ETIN recertification.
8. Maintains and updates Millin Central with username/password information.
9. Assists with software support via telephone or email and logs support into Millin Central.
10. Participates in implementation internal meetings and client conference calls.
11. Participates in educational activities and attends staff meetings.
12. Maintains professional communication by phone or emails with clients.
