Physician, Clinic and Hospital Medical Billing & Consulting

WHY NOW?

This is a time of incredible flux for physicians and their administrators. Ask yourself: are you ready for ICD-10, the diagnostic coding system that will increase the volume of codes from approximately 13,600 to 69,000? Are you prepared for all the ramifications of Obama health care reform and what it will mean for your practice? Are you on the verge of implementing an EMR solution that will make you eligible for huge incentives?

This is no time to go it alone. Millin Associates is composed of some of the most knowledgeable medical billing experts in the industry, many with advanced degrees in health care. We can partner with you to make sure you’re in-the-know and in compliance.

Coding Complexity

So you think that coding is complicated now? Just wait. With the advent of ICD-10, the problems are bound to get more complicated. The numbering system has changed, the number of diagnostic codes has increased, individual codes are more detailed, and you are responsible to get up to speed or risk having payments delayed. Millin Associates’ certified coders can help you handle hundreds of thousands of new codes so you don’t fall into that coding quagmire. You can count on it.

EMRs and Incentives

One of the hallmarks of health care reform is the move towards Electronic Medical Records (EMR). All medical offices are required to show meaningful use of an EMR by 2015… with rare exceptions. Physicians who are not meaningful EMR users will see a reduction in their fee schedule amount – 1% in 2015, 2% in 2016 and so on, until it reaches 5% in 2019. Those who adopt it, on the other hand, will receive generous incentives.
