Medicaid Billing
Medicaid Billing is just one of Millin Medical's Specialties
Medicaid is a health insurance program which pays for medical costs such as doctor's visits, prescriptions, hospital care and prenatal care for people who have low incomes,
and simply cannot afford to pay for the medical care they currently need.
Eligibility rules vary from state to state, and there are special rules for those who live in
nursing homes, are receiving long term home healthcare, are disabled children
living at home, or pregnant in some cases.
For example, there is a special program for pregnant women called Presumptive Eligibility,
which will pay for a woman's prenatal care immediately, even before applications for Medicaid
have been approved. They may receive more money with Expanded Eligibility, even if they were denied regular medicaid, under this special circumstance.
They may also be able to receive
medical care for the newborn infant from at least 60 days to up to a year.
Medically needy persons who may be eligible for medicaid except for
their income or assets, may become eligible because the have excessive medical expenses.
If you currently have Health Insurance or Medicare Benefits,
Medicaid Billing can even pay the premiums in some instances.
You may be eligible for the Medicare Buy-In Program.
Medicaid Billing usually sends payments directly to the health care provider
and sometimes has the patient pay a co-payment or small portion for the medical services,
depending upon the state.
