Federally Qualified Health Centers are providers and organizations designated by the Centers for medicaid and medicare Services (CMS) who receive Section 330 Grants under the Public Health Service Act. Generally, these Section 330 grants are provided to care for underserved populations, like Migrant Health centers, Homeless Programs, Community Health Centers, and Primary Care Programs for Public Housing residents. FQHC Centers who qualify for a Public Health Service 330 grant funding must be part of a Medically Underserved Area (MUA) or Medically Underserved Population (MUP) of New York. FQHC's can also qualify for enhanced reimbursement from Medicaid and Medicare. If FQHC or Federally Qualified Health Centers Medicare or Medicaid Claims are denied, they can be reviewed and appealed for reimbursement of funds. The best and most efficient way to do this is to have a medical billing company that is experienced in the recovery of FQHC denied medicare and denied medicaid claims in New York State, like Millin Medical Associates of New York. Millin Associates serves New York, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens as well as Long Island, Nassau County, Suffolk County.
