Physician, Clinic and Hospital Medical Billing & Consulting

Millin Associates offers three decades of proven knowledge in all the billing procedures, requirements, regulations, and unique conditions involved in billing and processing for hospitals, clinics and not-for-profit social service agencies. We provide both back billing and current billing services to all of the five major clinic types:

    Primary Care

  • Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)
Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) is a type of provider defined by Medicare and Medicaid statues and includes all organizations receiving grants under Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act. FQHCs must serve an underserved area or population, offer a sliding fee scale, and provide comprehensive services.

  • Article 28-Free Standing
Article 28 facilities are primary care centers that include acute care or general hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic treatment centers, and freestanding ambulatory surgery centers. Article 28 facilities participate in Medicare and Medicaid and with private insurers at a higher reimbursement rate and accept all insurance with fees adjusted based on ability to pay. Millin Associates has years of solid experience in back billing and current billing for Primary Care clinics.

  • Mental Health

  • Article 31 Mental Health Clinics
Article 31 mental health clinics provide vital services to consumers seeking treatment and recovery and form the backbone of the community-based mental health sector. In one single year, more than 90,000 individuals received treatment from community-based Article 31 clinics, comprising almost 80% of New Yorkers who sought publicly funded mental health care.

Yet increasingly, Article 31 clinics are poorly funded, with current Medicaid rates covering roughly half of what it costs for most clinic providers to offer basic treatment and care to consumers. Millin Associates works extensively with foster care agencies to help them through the ever-changing maze of billing regulations.

  • Residential Services

  • Day Treatment Centers

  • Substance Abuse

Substance Abuse clinics provide a non-judgmental, supportive environment where patients can feel safe when dealing with their substance abuse problems and learn to take control of their lives. Millin Associates works with leading drug abuse, methadone, and residential centers to ensure that all billing goes out seamlessly for efficient collection.

  • Foster Care Agencies

Foster care is a state-run program that places a child in the temporary care of a family other than its own as the result of problems are challenges taking place within the birth family, or boards the child in state-approved facilities. Millin Associates can help make sure that you are not leaving any money on the table.

Office for people with developmental disabilities (OPWDD) facilities

OPWDD (formerly known as OMRDD) operates numerous Developmental Disabilities Service Offices in New York State, responsible for enabling those with developmental disabilities to live richer lives. OMRDD-only certification is required for clinics where more than 80 percent of individuals are developmentally disabled and more than 80 percent of total services are long-term therapies and/or habilitative services. Millin Associates advanced software and services ensure that billing data is captured properly to maximize the amount of payments on billing.
